Alicia has been part of the healthy industry for over 17 years. At school and through to her early 20’s, movement came naturally to her. She played high level competitive sport, so it was a natural progression for her to study Sports Science and Nutrition at University. She then worked in the health and wellbeing industry as a Corporate Health & Lifestyle Coordinator, Health Assessor, Presenter, Personal Trainer, Yoga & Mindfulness Teacher, Writer and Designer of Corporate Health Programs for Health at Work.
Alicia started practicing yoga in 2007 at Yogareal Yoga Studio in Melbourne, under teacher Robert Byrne - who’s teacher/guru was Baba Muktananda, predecessor of Bhagavan Nityananda. Spending 10 years at Yogareal studying, practicing and teaching the principles of yoga provided great insight, understanding and personal growth on all levels - physically, mentally and spiritually.
Alicia studied at the AIAS - Australasian Institute of Ayurveda Studies under Vaidya Dr Ajit Singh for 3 years. Dr Ajit provides a very traditional and authentic foundation of knowledge, which makes this ancient science accessible to people today. After graduating as an Ayurveda Practitioner she travelled to India and spent 4 months at Vaidyagrama Ayurvedic Hospital studying under the guidance of VaidyaDr Ramadas and the team of Doctors there. This provided greater understanding of the traditional texts, Panchakarma, treatment, pathologies, herbs, medicines, and spiritual practices. Alicia continues her professional development through her own self study and by attending courses and conferences in Australia and India.
Alicia hopes to share this ancient science of life, health and healing with all, so it can bring balance, clarity and vitality to peoples lives, as it has in her own life.
